City Year The Journey: From Dream to Reality CITY YEAR THE JOURNEY is an 8-week after school program for high school students designed to prepare them for success in college and in life. The program operates in 11 major cities across the United States, with a total of 2,700 high school students participating. City Year’s mission is to build a culture of service that inspires students to become servant leaders, to work collaboratively, and to develop into young adults committed to a better world.
